One UI 7 missed two important features
One UI 7 has delivered major changes for the Galaxy devices, from the new visual experience to the several new additions under different applications. The update has filled most of the anitiated bucketlist, but still there are two more wishes left out in the for of app lock and dark mode.
One UI 7 was expected to bring the App lock and Dark Mode for the Galaxy devices
Samsung Galaxy users are always way ahead in getting unique features features then other Android users, and with latest beta update, the company is still successful in bringing fruitful changes for the devices, but still some basic features are still missing, like App lock and Dark Mode
Earlier, it was expected that the company could introduce the functionality to lock any application for extra security. The feature would provide security against the functionality for the devices.
The dark mode is already available for the Galaxy devices, but this is not working as it should be. Currently the dark mode doesn’t work, as it should be applied to all the application icons, including the third-party ones. For comparison, Apple has done a commendable job with iOS 18, but Samsung hasn’t matched it up.
However, as it is the first beta update for the Galaxy devices, it is possible that the company could introduce these features in the coming beta updates. Wish that the wait for the stable update could be worth it.
As far as the availability of the One UI 7 is concerned, it is expected that Samsung may not take the usual time for the testing and expected that the company will introduce it in the next few weeks. Most probably we could get the first stable update to be dropped in mid-January. As this is expectation based on the introduction of the next Galaxy devices as the Galaxy S25 series.
